Game Night!

So most of you have played the game where you get a stack of papers and sit in a circle. Each person writes a common phrase or adage on their first paper. Then you pass it to the person next to you and they move the paper to the back and do their best to draw your phrase, pictionary style. After 1 minute everyone passes their current stack along in the same direction and now everyone has 1 minute to guess what the picture represents. You pass the papers all the way around the circle alternating between drawing and guessing the phrase until your original stack gets back to you. It gets pretty amusing to go through the different stacks.

With that said, I present to you all a paper that I was passed and told to guess the common phrase that goes with it. So keep in mind that the artist (Amber) was given a paper with a common saying on it and she drew it to the best of her ability in 1 minute. Be a sport and look at it for a bit before scrolling down and see if you can guess what the saying is.

Do you have a guess? Before I explain it, let me just say that we batted 1000 during the game including a picture that had three ->, a 2, a campfire, and an upside down acorn. But I digress... did you guess that the saying for the picture above is "Smooth as a baby's butt"? Cause I DID!! Unfortunately this one went WAY downhill shortly after I passed it off... haha.

I must admit I thought the game was going to be really lame, but was happy to be proven VERY wrong.

Another Semester Down

I am happy to report that another semester is officially in the books. We both performed well as far as grades go, but I'm really just proud of Kassie for getting through it without losing her mind. It seems like she goes non-stop and as soon as she gets one assignment/test done she's already behind on the next one. So needless to say we are super excited that she only has the one semester left until graduation. May just can't get here fast enough.

Being done with this semester also marks a pretty big milestone for me. I officially never have to take another class. I will be at it for a couple of years (hopefully tops) with research, but no more homework or cramming for tests or worrying about grades. Not that I worried much about grades when I was in class, but now it's a non-issue.

So be sure and keep us in your prayers as we gear up for Kassie's last semester. It will obviously be super busy since we are expecting our first child on March 29th. We are just focused on keeping her and the baby healthy. I will also be Mr. Mom after the baby comes and Kassie is in class, so I guess you should keep me in your prayers too, haha!

First Blog!

So it seems like every time we get together with our Sunday school class someone mentions how they "did this or that on their blog" or asks someone if they saw their most recent post of the cute thing that their child did. So since all the cool kids are doing it, we figured we would get into the blogosphere too!

Also, we have a little girl on the way and so we need a place to post all the cute pictures =D. Since she won't be out and about until on or around March 29th we'll just keep you entertained with baby bump shots and random updates to our boring adult lives.
